Svet elektronike & Svet mehatronike magazines have organised the 2nd IKTEM Conference which addresses ICT, Electronics & Mechatronics sectors. IKTEM 2019 has moved to Rogla, a beautiful skiing resort in the North of Slovenia.

Main topics of IKTEM 2019 were:

  • NB IoT products and solutions
  • Industrial 3D printing with industrial 3D printer
  • Measurements with modern measurement instruments and methods
  • CAD-CAM tools for fields of electronics and mechatronics
  • Case studies from fields of ICT, electronics and mechatronics

After the first day of presentations participants of the conference were tasting several Slovenian beers and competing in Dart.

“2nd IKTEM Conference was again a great success. Despite bad weather we had many visitors from industry. ” said Jurij Mikeln, President of the IKTEM Conference’s Organisational Board. “IKTEM was also very well recognized by the Faculty for Electronics in Maribor, which also participated at the conference. Conference was also supported by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and the Slovenian Craft Chamber. These and all other partners contributed to IKTEM success. We were very well hosted by Hotel Rogla and Planja, hence decision to have IKTEM 2020 conference at Rogla again.” emphasized Mikeln.

“Most of presentations at IKTEM Conference were non-commercial but technical and practical. This was crucial as participating engineers do not have time to listen commercial presentations. Also non formal gathering was carefully chosen for target audience and we have a plan to continue with this model.” concluded Mikeln.

Conclusion

IKTEM 2019 had over 110 registered participants mainly from Slovenia and neighboring countries.

IKTEM Conference is organized by Svet elektronike and Svet mehatronike magazines. Partners that support the conference come from the University and Industry fields. Besides Faculty for Electronics in Ljubljana – Laboratory for Telecommunications and Laboratory for Multimedia. In the 2019 joined Partner from the University in Maribor – Faculty for Electronics from Maribor. Partners from industry were Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia – Chamber for Electronic Industry and Section for Informatics and Telecommunications, Institute Jožef Stefan, and many sponsors and partners from industry.
